PPT ONLINE

Privacy, Files, and Sharing

PPT Online treats temporary file processing, saved editing drafts, and public presentations as different kinds of data. This page explains the product rules for each.

Temporary File Processing

File tools process presentation files on your device. Temporary results clear after one hour, when you remove them, or when you close the page. Translation sends extracted text to the selected AI provider; the presentation file itself stays on your device.

AI Requests

AI generation and rewriting send your input and the selected slide text to the configured AI provider. Choosing to publish may submit snapshot text for independent review. Provider retention follows the selected service policy. Our task and analytics logs exclude presentation text, prompts, and sharing keys.

Contact Messages

Your message and optional reply email are kept for administrators to handle your request, until an administrator deletes them. Daily abuse prevention stores a salted hash of the network address, not the original IP address.

Saved Drafts and Editing Links

Editing drafts are kept for continued work until you delete them. Manual drafts are private by default. A resume link grants editing access to its holder; keep it private and use a read-only link for ordinary viewing.

Published Presentations

Publishing creates a public snapshot. A generic-topic AI deck may enter a public candidate pool, and you can set it to private for free. Private source material should not be automatically published. Removing a public copy does not instantly remove third-party caches or copies already downloaded.

Usage Records

The product uses limited usage records to understand sources, tasks, successes, and failures. Unknown sources remain unknown. Analytics should not contain slide text, file contents, sensitive prompts, or device fingerprints. Tracking that requires consent is not enabled without that consent.

Review Before Sharing

Check a published deck for information that should remain private. Copying a shared deck creates a separate editable version; withdrawing the original does not erase a copy someone already received.

A FEW SIMPLE STEPS

How it works

  1. 01

    Check the type of data

Distinguish a temporary file-tool result from an editing draft or a public snapshot.

  2. 02

    Choose the right link

Keep editing tokens private and share a view-only link when editing is not intended.

  3. 03

    Review visibility and retention

Download temporary results in time and unpublish or delete saved work when appropriate.

A LITTLE MORE CLARITY

Good questions.
Straight answers.

Are manual editing drafts public?+

No. A manual draft is private by default and becomes public only when you choose to publish a snapshot.

Can I make an AI presentation private?+

Yes. Private status is free in this release. Check the current visibility before using personal or confidential material.

Does deleting a temporary result delete my saved draft?+

A saved editing draft and its needed media have a separate lifecycle. Deleting a temporary processing result should not remove assets that the saved draft requires.
