How to Convert PowerPoint to Google Slides
Use this converter to prepare a compatible PPTX. The default output is a file, followed by an import into your Google account. Both conversion entry pages use the same underlying compatibility workflow.
Common Formatting Fixes
Check font substitutions, line breaks, image positions, and object order first. Complex animation paths may be reduced to a static slide; verify that the static result does not hide important content.
Keep the Content Useful
A slide-sized picture is not the same as an editable presentation. Test text selection and changes after import. If a chart uses a supported fallback, its text labels must still be independently editable.
How it works
- 01
Choose your presentation
Select a PPT or PPTX file, or drag it into the file area. Keep an unchanged copy of the original.
- 02
Prepare the PowerPoint file
Review the available settings and start the task. Progress and the result stay on this page.
- 03
Review and download
Download the compatible PPTX and note any reported substitutions.
- 04
Review the Google Slides version
Import into Google Slides and compare a complex slide with the original. Check text and chart editing before distributing it.
Good questions.
Straight answers.
Does the converter preserve every animation?+
Animation and transition parity is not promised. The conversion can use static slides, but page order and essential content should remain intact. Inspect animation-heavy decks after importing them.
What happens when a font is unavailable?+
A compatible font may be used instead. Review the font notes, line breaks, text size, and emphasis in the destination application.
Can I use the result in Google Slides?+
The default Google Slides workflow provides a compatible PPTX file. Import that file into Google Slides, then check the text, charts, fonts, and layout. A downloaded file is not automatically saved to a Google account.
